Mineral Makeup? The new craze? Mineral makeup has been around since Cleopatra. It is made from pure minerals (crushed rocks). One thing to understand is that all of these minerals have been processed in order to be safe for use on the skin. The word natural is used loosely and you need to understand, that unless these were processed to be safe for the skin we could not use them. We use them in the processed state without any other additives unless done so by the formulator (watch out)!
There are many different combinations of minerals such as Mica, Titanium Dioxide, Zinc Oxide, Iron Oxides and more. Can you believe Talc is actually considered a mineral? Depending on how those mineral are mixed together you will get the effects you wish to have such as colors, shimmers, mattes, adhesion, and slip.

Pure mineral makeup has no preservatives like parabens and therefore is better for your skin and helps by adding a natural sunscreen for protection. The makeup sits on your skin as a protective layer and is not absorbed by your skin like the store bought liquid makeup we grew up with. 1. Those that care enough about you not to use synthetics (like parabens, bismuth, talc, perfume and other fillers), and stays true to the original intent of mineral makeup
and
2. Those that do add the fillers, perfumes, presevative and other chemicals to their formulas.
