The first thing to remember is that mineral makeup is concentrated. It does not take a lot of makeup to provide total and complete coverage and to have a flawless finish you should practice good skin care. Clean, exfoliate, tone and moisturize your face and make sure to give the moisturizer time to soak into your skin completely. If you apply mineral makeup while your face is dewy or damp or in any way wet, the minerals will adhere to those areas and it will look caked and blotchy. If your face is still dewy in spots you can lightly apply your mineral veil first, my Smooth Start Skin Prep, or my Oil control primer or just blot with a tissue. If you have large pores try Clinique pore minimizer (aprox $15.00). It works great. With all of the products...Do not remove the sifter seal completly. Just poke a few hole through the seal until your desired amount comes through when lid is put on and bottom of container is tapped on (this is done in case dropped, it will not spill all over the place).

Concealers and Correctors
Concealers/Correctors are not meant to put on fine lines. It will only accentuate them. Concealer can be applies when your face is still dewy, as a matter of fact if using under your eye area it seems to work better that way. Powders do not work well in the eye area so if using in that area, apply while face is still dewy with moisturizer and lighly spread with finger. Dab concealer or corrector into top of lid and dip with a concealer brush (preferably nylon bristle). Apply to areas you want to conceal. Feather the edges to blend with the rest of your face. Always apply correctors first and then concealor over top because correctors may show through foundation in day light. If the corrector is still showing through you may need to feather with a flocked sponge.

Foundation
Tap a small amount into the lid of the foundation jar. For light to medium coverage use a light fluffy brush like a powder brush. For a medium to heavier coverage use a kabuki, flat top, or a chubby bronzer brush. After lightly swirling/dipping  the brush in the foundation lightly tap off any excess back into the lid. Starting at your cheek lightly touch the brush to your cheek area and then drag the brush down to your chin area and then to your other cheek and then nose (this is to get the bulk of the powder off without making a big mess. Now, lightly swirl/buff all over your face in back and forth and up and down motions. Repeat the above steps until you reach desired coverage. Do not buff real hard as this may cause very microscopic abrasions on your skin. You do not need to buff hard or for a long period of time like you see in some other commercials. You may want to finish by smoothing with a flocked sponge and then by dabbing your concealer brush in your foundation and then touching up any small areas, like a pimple or reddening around the nose. Our mineral makeup can be applied anywhere on your body to cover any flaw.
If you have oily skin you may want to try our oil control primer that is applied before your foundation or our Smooth Start Skin Prep (great for any skin type). Those with extremely dry skin may want to add their daily moisturizer and some mineral foundation in the palm of their hand; mix well and apply with finger tips or sponge. On some skin types the foundation may look slightly powdery at first. Give the minerals about 10 minutes to set to your skin.

Blushes and Bronzers
The best applicator for these is a fan brush, blush brush or a contour brush. The trick is....EXPERIMENT! Use the bronzers to contour or highlight, use the blushes on the apples of your cheeks or for a more elegant look apply right above you cheek bone all the way back to your hairline.
Tip: to make nose look thinner, apply a bronzer to the outside of your nose from the tip of your nose almost to the inner corner of the eyes.

Multi-Purpose Eye shadows and Matte Eye shadows
Tap a small amount in the lid and dip your eye shadow brush into it. Use the lightest color for under the brow area and the darkest for the crease. If you want a bold look, apply shadow wet. Experiment! Put the darkest color in the crease half way then try all the way. For inset eyes try a little lighter highlighter in the inner lower eyelid to make eyes appear wider. Do the opposite to make your eyes appear closer together.
Use our eye shadows and multi-purpose shadows as eyeliner by lightly wetting brush and dipping into minerals. Apply to upper or lower lid or both. Be careful and stay away from any pink or reds as this will make you appear sickly.
Multi-purpose eye shadows can also be used as nail polish by dipping your nail polish brush into the minerals or as a lip color by dipping your brush into your favorite balm or gloss and then dipping into the minerals. Do not use any multi-purpose eye shadows on lips that are marked with ***

AFTER ALL IS DONE MY FAVORITE TRICK!!!!!!!!!USE A FLOCKED SPONGE TO LIGHTLY SPONGE ALL OVER FACE FOR THE MOST NATURAL LOOK. THIS IS THE ONLY SPONGE WE’VE FOUND THAT BLENDS THE POWDERS AND DOES NOT DRAG. OUR SPONGE IS MEANT TO BE USED OVER AND OVER AGAIN AND SOULD LAST YOU FOR AT LEAST SEVERAL MONTHS (DON’T’ FORGET TO WASH IT FREQUENTLY).

PLEASE DON’T GET FRUSTRATED. USING MINERAL MAKEUP FOR THE FIRST TIME CAN BE TIME CONSUMING, AND AGRIVATING. YOU HAVE TO RETRAIN YOURSELF. GIVE IT TIME; AT LEAST 2 WEEKS. I FOUND THAT AFTER GETTING USED TO APPLYING MINERAL MAKEUP THAT IT ENDED UP TAKING ME LESS TIME TO GET READY THAN BEFORE.

PROBLEMS????
Too caked, streaky, blotchy, or uneven.....moisturizer not dry? Over application?
Too heavy, chalky, or like a mask......wrong color for your skin tone, or over application. Try a fluffier brush and/or a flocked sponge after application.
Shiny or oily appearance.....moisturizer too heavy, try using a light weight formula and/or our oil control primer.
Skin looks dry or feels dry.....do you need to exfoliate. Exfoliation will smooth the skins surface. Also try using a heavier moisturizer but be sure to let absorb completely if using the dry mineral makeup. Try mixing with your moisturizer and applying with a sponge.
Is makeup collecting in fine lines or pores look larger.....Over application or you may need to try a lighter foundation color. To help minimize pores, after cleansing, splash face with plenty of cold water and then use a toner (toners help minimize the look of pores). Use a good moisturizer, even though you may have oily skin you could still be depleting it of needed moisture and you also may be dehydrated. Drink plenty of water.
